Hydro power plant Munich

As a follow-up project of the nearby "Muffatkraftwerk" on the Auer Mühlbach which was also designed by Bernhard Thiersch, it made sense to use the natural gradient of the river Isar at the so-called Praterwehr. Repeatedly over the past proposals of a hydro power plant at this point had come up, but the projects all failed due to economic or town planning hurdles. The final successful implementation was only possible because of the design of a completely underground power plant.
